Organization Purpose
What factors stop the progression of our youth from going on to college or entering the career world?
- Lack of computer technology.
- Lack of money for college.
- Lack money to pay for tutoring.
- Lack of preparation for the next level.
- Lack of motivation.
How does Infinite Possibilities address these issues?
- By partnering with Colleges and Universities in the area that provide use of their computers in collegiate setting.
- By providing updated scholarship information based on that student’s individual profile.
- By providing FREE tutoring given by college students who are trained mentors. (All mentors go through an extensive background
check and are trained by Big Brother Big Sister of New York.)
- By providing workshops on financial aid, college application process, career mapping, and using volunteering to build
work experience.
- By visiting schools to talk to students about planning for the future. Matching students with professionals in the student’s
field of interest to volunteer as well as see what working in that field is like.
Statistics show that students with mentors are more likely
to stay in school and 86% of students who are seniors in high school go on to college.
Our Mission
IPNY's mission is to empower youth in under-served communities
by creating a road map to their potential. IPNY exposes youth to successful role models and alternative cultural perspectives
